Beginning butcher/meat processor/ canter

Are you interested in becoming proficient with a knife and learning the craft of a lacemaker or butcher? Then we offer you the perfect opportunity! Experience in the industry is not a requirement; we offer a training program where you can advance to butcher or bander, with the possibility of internal advancement to other departments. This opportunity is offered in two departments within our organization: the Boning Department and the CPSP (Consumer Products & Special Products) Department.

In the role of novice butcher, meat processor or tenderizer, you will be responsible for accurately cutting our veal on a daily basis. As an apprentice, you will learn skills such as boning, slicing or cutting the meat to customer specifications. Also important is learning to maintain your tools, such as keeping your knife sharp, all according to the latest standards of quality, hygiene and safety.

Your duties include:

• Accurate cutting of veal;
• Dividing the meat and cutting it clean in a customer-oriented manner;
• Inspect the meat for unwanted elements and remove them;
• Ensuring a clean and safe workplace.

It is essential that you are able to follow the daily production schedule, where diligence and safety are paramount.
